USA President…..time to get over it!!!

With his infamous statements, many said, ‘as a child his head must have had a bump’,
With those lips and that smirk, many said ‘he has a face that you just want to thump’
With his views, many said ‘we can’t stay here anymore, we will just have to country jump’
However, despite all the negative press, this man will become President Donald Trump!
I have seen many videos and read the headlines the media did pump,
Making the world fear what Donald will do to the people he will dump.
Life is too short, so come on people, please stop having a grump.
And for that throat, drink some water and get rid of that pathetic lump.
Just sit back and watch the show, as did Forest Gump,
Forget the world’s troubles and together lets all clump,
Its nearly Christmas, so eat mince pies and drink  Sherry and become plump,
Because its only temporary, and when the dust settles the news will just flump.
But do look on the bright side, his wife is certainly no frump,
Ok ok, you will ask ‘why the hell is she with that silly old chump’
She is very beautiful whilst he is a rich man, albeit somewhat plump
So is the media headline true saying ‘his wife is a money sump’

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil – Or a convoluted tale of Jack and Gill? A poetic review!

I enter the cinema as the trailers finish on the big screen,

The lead Actors open the film, with a hot ‘Indian’ kissing scene.

A few days later, Anouska tells Ranbir, ‘Please note, you only my best friend’,
But he is already obsessed, and this simply drives him over the edge and around the bend.

Instead of dealing with his obvious psychotic disorder,
Karan Johar glosses the illness with ‘love has no border’

Anouska decides to marry her historic lover Fawad Khan,
Who DJ’s globally from Tim buck two to Ajabijan.

Ranbir has a sulk and meets Aishwarya Rai,
Who simply desires only one thing, with lust in her eye.

Shah Rukh Khan makes an entrance as Aishwarya’s ex,
So Ranbir takes advantage and sends Anouska an ‘I love and miss you text’

Anouska leaves her husband and becomes seriously unwell,
Ranbir tracks her down as he is still under her spell.

The film ends as Anouska sadly passes away.
I leave the cinema thinking ‘Ahhhh what a waste of ticket money I had just had to pay’

About me……..

In 1994 at the age of 17, I started working as a BBC Radio Journalist for Mr. Kaval Vaseer on Radio Nottingham. This enabled me to communicate my creativity to world. With some friends and family members, together we formed a creative production group with a musical band when I started singing with others. Annually we would hold faundraising events for various charitable causes.  In the background I studied Law with Languages and spent 3 years abroad in 15 different countries; mainly in Spain, Italy and France between 1996-2003. Following on from receiving a few awards which came as a complete surprise, in 2004-5 I went on to train as a professional Actor at the Arts Ed School of Acting in Chiswick, London. Thereafter, I worked in Modelling and Theatre/Drama for some time whilst keeping my academic background alive in the background and training as a Solicitor and Teacher. I actively worked with children at the QMC hospital school in Nottingham between 2011-2014 and focused on teaching languages with comedy therapies to make the children laugh through their learning. , When I left, in 2014,  I started working as a Barrister then qualified as a Filmmaker.

Through all of my personal and professional experiences without realising, I had built up a plethora of stories and was often told I had a unique way of telling them which made people laugh and thoroughly enjoy them. I was often encouraged to do something with my comical outlook and share my stories with others and therefore in 2014, I embarked upon trying my hand at stand up comedy and started writing about my comical experiences. In 2015, I set up this site to bring a variety of my works through various mediums.

Through all of my highs and lows, I have learned  learned that laughter can be one of the best medicines for the soul to lift us up when we feel down.

This blog aims to provide you with everyday comedy stories from real life events and to make you laugh. Feel free to join me and share your comedy stories and email them to me on

I hope you enjoy the site and please do not hesitate to send me your feedback.
